Solid color sheets are the
basic building blocks of any sheet collection. They stand
by themselves or can be used in conjunction with our
damask designs to achieve a different look. They are
also the building blocks of any embellished or embroidered
sheet ensemble. The essential element of any solid color
sheet program is quality. It sounds obvious, and it is,
but the ultimate enjoyment of any sheet product must
start with the quality of the fabric. In a world where
there are many, many solid color sheet choices, it becomes
even more important that you trust your sense of touch.
We believe Italy makes the finest bedding in the world,
from the quality of the fabric, to the quality of the
finishing and dyeing, to the quality of the sewing. A
word of caution: it is impossible to accurately represent
colors on a computer screen. We have tried our best on
the following pages, but strongly urge you to request
a swatch so you can see the color, and quality, for yourself.

| Damask
Sheets |
| |
| Damask is, by definition,
the weaving of a design into a cloth as compared to printing
a design onto a cloth. Therefore, a damask design is
a permanent part of the cloth. The subtlety and elegance
of the design is what makes a damask fabric so special.
There are a number of weaving and dyeing techniques used
in the production of a damask design, each of which yields
a slightly different effect. For example, to achieve
the subtle colors of a damask, you can piece dye the
cloth, or yarn dye the weft (fill) yarns, or yarn dye
and then piece dye, or yarn dye both the warp and weft
yarns. |

| 100% Cashmere
Throw Blankets |

| The two throw blankets we import from Lanerossi are "Kendy" and "Intreccio." Both
are made from 100% cashmere. The Kendy is a traditional
solid color throw blanket and the Intreccio is woven
with a unique basket weave effect. The same specification
issue mentioned with regard to Italian sleep blankets
is true for throw blankets. Again we will give the specifications
in both the Italian and American methods (fabric weight
and blanket weight, respectively). |

Made from 100% Cashmere
and finished on all two sides with a fringed border,
the Kendy blanket is ultimate indulgence in a throw blanket.
The weight of the fabric is 250 grams/sq.meter.
