Bai Shan was born in 1961 in Heilongjiang province, China. After four years of study, he graduated in 1987 from Ji Lin Art Academy, also in Heilongjiang province.
His painting combines the ancient arts of Chinese calligraphy and lacquer into modern works.
He is a leading member of the Chinese Calligraphy Association and the Chinese Lacquer Painting Association.
He currently resides in Beijing, China with his wife. |

Exhibitions and Awards:
1988 - Attended National 7th Art Exhibition and won the Award of Excellence.
1989 - “Golden Autumn” was exhibited in an annual Beijing exhibition jointly hosted by China, Japan and South Korea.
1990 - “Tribute to the Yellow River” won second prize at a National Advanced Exhibition in Beijing.
1993 - “Spring Water” was selected to be shown at an exhibition in Seoul, South Korea that showcased Chinese artists. |
